KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The death of a child from swine flu in Knoxville brings to seven the number of pediatric deaths from the illness in Tennessee.
Tennessee Department of Health spokeswoman Shelly Walker told The Knoxville News Sentinel there have been six other deaths of children that were confirmed as being caused by swine flu.
The newspaper reported the death at East Tennessee Children's Hospital occurred on Sunday. The victim's home county was not available.
