Green Mountain Coffee Roasters has set up a 572-panel solar operation at its distribution center.
The Burlington Free Press reports the Waterbury-based company finished its project this summer in a partnership with Green Mountain Power Corp., and White River Junction-based groSolar.
The 100 kilowatt-hour project is expected to produce electricity equivalent to what it takes to run 16 houses year-round.
As Monday morning, the panels had generated 8,357 kilowatt-hours of energy since being installed, according to its Web site.
