Good news for the eight kids of Jon Gosselin and his estranged wife, Kate — the stars of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" have made some progress in their divorce negotiations.
Jon's lawyers had given Kate a deadline to explain where she put $80,000 from TLC that Jon claimed had "gone missing" when they announced their separation in June.
Then Jon and Kate bought themselves new cars to celebrate the split — and each blamed the other for blowing too much cash.
But lawyers for the warring pair, which now only communicates by text, have sorted out the cash issue. A source said: "When Jon and Kate first announced their divorce, Jon was convinced a large sum of money had been hidden from him. Kate has always been in control of their negotiations with TLC and handled the money from the deal.
"Jon believed she had moved a large sum into a secret trust. His attorney gave her a deadline to reveal where the money is, and she complied," the source continued. "The cash is currently in a trust for the children's future."
The divorce will be finalized at the end of this month. In an interview airing today on both "Good Morning America" and "Primetime," Gosselin admits that by having "twins at 23" and "sextuplets at 27," he learned about parenting and marriage on the fly.
