Two Officers Shot at Delaware Fast Food Restaurant

Delaware State Police say two police officers in Georgetown have been shot.

Spokesman Cpl. Bruce Harris says the two officers were shot by at least one suspect Tuesday night. Two suspects were in custody; a third was being sought.

Harris says the officers' conditions and what hospitals they were taken to would not be immediately released.

The incident began with a report of shots fired at the fast food restaurant and police got a description of a suspect vehicle. The two police officers saw and chased a vehicle matching the description.

Harris says the suspects left the vehicle and the officers pursued them on foot; that's when they were shot.
