Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar – the energetic parents of 18 children on the TLC show “18 Kids and Counting” — announced they are expecting baby number 19, People Magazine reported.

“We are so thrilled,” Michelle Duggar, 42, told the magazine. “We just couldn’t believe it is happening.”

Incidentally, the Duggars oldest child, Joshua, 21, and his wife, Anna, 21, are expecting their first child in October. They will name her Mackynzie Renee. The Duggars’ youngest child, Jordyn-Grace is only 8-months-old.

Michelle Duggar said she does not worry about health risks with pregnancies at her age, so she opts out of prenatal testing.

“We know what could happen,” she said. “We read through the information. If the Lord chooses to give us challenges along the way, we know His Grace will be there, so we don’t opt to do the testing.”

Dr. Manny Alvarez, managing editor of health for FOXNews.com, said Michelle Duggar should be getting prenatal testing.

"She could be missing many things," he said. "There could be infant problems. By not screening, she could be missing things like diabetes, which can harm the mother or the baby, a tremendous amount of stuff."

Dr. Amy Sarver said Michelle Duggar’s health was excellent with her last pregnancy and it did not put any strain on her uterus.
