Van Buren police used a vehicle's anti-theft GPS system to do more than solve a property crime. They arrested a fugitive from Tennessee wanted for attempted murder.

Investigators used the GPS and 31-year-old James Morgan's cell phone to track him to his sister-in-law's home in Van Buren on Saturday.

Morgan, of Union City, Tenn., took about 20 minutes to emerge from Becky Morgan's house. The sister-in-law said she didn't know James Morgan was wanted until she saw the police cars outside the house.

Another suspect, 30-year-old Christopher J. Sims of Tiptonville, Tenn., was arrested in Conway a few days after the stabbing.

The stabbing victim, 29-year-old Clayton Roberson of Union City, is recovering.
