Montag's Revealing Performance New Low for Pageant?

She wasn't a contestant on last night's Miss Universe pageant, but that didn't stop "Hills" star Heidi Montag from flashing her assets nonetheless.

Montag donned tight sequined pants and a matching bra (exposing plenty of cleavage to the viewing audience) as she sang her new song "Body Language," peppering her performance with sexy body rolls and dance moves.

Montag is becoming a real pro at leaving just enough to the imagination. The reality star just posed for a spread in Playboy, but made sure to have just enough dirt smeared on just the right spots to make the photos PG-13.

So did pageant co-owners Donald Trump and NBC "de-class" the pageant by having Miss Montag prance around in next to nothing? According to an inside source, the worse she performed, the better.

"Everyone is going to talk about Heidi's performance and the worse she is the more talk there will be," the insider told Tarts.

Oh yeah, we forgot, it's all about buzz!

New Miss Universe Believes Women Are Treated the Same As Men in All Countries

For the first time in the history of Miss Universe, the same country has managed to produce back-to-back winners. In the Bahamas on Sunday evening 2008's Dayana Mendoza surrendered her sash and multi-million dollar tiara to fellow Venezuelan, 18-year-old Sefania Fernandez Krupij. (Pop Tarts has learned that the tiara was actually super-glued together following an accident, and it was dropped again after the final crowning and had to be repaired on the spot yet again!).

No questions on gay marriage surfaced at this high-profile pageant, and four of the five questions were basically the same soft-hitting pro female questions. The beauties were quizzed on everything from mandatory HIV testing across the globe, whether woman should have the right to bear their body in a bikini, if being beautiful and female can be detrimental, why they would want to be famous when it is such an invasion of privacy and finally, Vogue magazine's Andre Leon Talley asked the eventual winner:

"In many parts of the worlds, obstacles still exist that stop women from achieving their goals in some corporations. What can women do to overcome this?"

Interestingly, Miss Universe disagreed with the fashionista judge and said she believed that women have "reached the same level as men" and "we must realize that their are no longer barriers amongst us."

While times have changed and vast improvements have come about, somehow we think women in many countries would strongly disagree. Try convincing women in Saudi Arabia or United Arab Emirates, where they are prohibited the right to vote, that their rights are on par with men. And don't forget the epidemic in Nepal of unmarried daughters getting sold off to traffickers before they reach their teens.

So while the 18-year-old's response could potentially upset many, it is unlikely she'll come under the same harsh spotlight as Carrie Prejean who earlier this year at the Miss USA pageant said she didn't believe in same-sex marriage.

Michael Johns Says Paula Abdul Will Return to "Idol"; Eliza Dushku’s Brothers Approve Racy Shots; Which Star of "The Office" Doesn’t Eat?

The world is still mourning the departure of Paula Abdul from the "American Idol" judging panel, but according to Season 7 finalist and her good friend Michael Johns, a return may very well happen.

"She will be there, you watch. I think come December when it all comes out she will be there, they will rectify the situation," Johns assured us at the 8th Annual InStyle Summer Soiree in West Hollywood on Thursday evening. "We’ve been talking and texting a bunch. She was just upset that they didn’t give her what she deserved, she wasn’t asking for the same money as Ryan Seacrest. She wanted almost half that - $20 million over three years. I love her and she has a bunch of opportunities coming her way."

And despite the outcry that this season’s runner-up Adam Lambert was perhaps cheated out of the "American Idol" title, Johns believes America voted correctly.

"Kris Allen was definitely the rightful winner," he added. "Both he and Adam Lambert will have good careers but I think Allison (Iraheta) will actually have the biggest career of all of them."

On the note of careers, earlier this year "Dollhouse" dame Eliza Dushku stripped down in a shoot for men’s magazine Maxim to boost her profile - and got the thumbs up from her three older brothers.

"My brothers were like, ‘really?’ but they get it, they know the business. They thought the photos were appropriate enough - for Maxim. They’re seen a lot worse," Dushku said at the party. "I have a pretty fascinating family, really well traveled. Most of the time I’m the most uninteresting person at the dinner table, which is kind of nice."

And here’s something you may not have known - Steve Carell apparently doesn’t eat. Well, not in front of others anyhow.

"He is a really light eater," his "The Office" co-star Mindy Kaling revealed. "I never see him eating at all. For a man that is so cut, he’s a very dainty eater. I guess he’s eating in secret."
