The Royal Opera House in London is planning to stage the world's first Twitter opera - which so far features a man kidnapped by birds and a talking ginger cat.
The Covent Garden venue is encouraging users of the micro-blogging site to get their creative juices flowing and contribute to the new libretto.
The Royal Opera House will turn 140-character tweets into an opera set to original music by composer Helen Porter.
Users can tweet as often or as little as they like at www.twitter.com/youropera.
Alison Duthie, head of the ROH2 said: "It's the people's opera and the perfect way for everyone to become involved with the inventiveness of opera. Expect the unexpected. Who knows how the story will evolve."
