Police in say a man in central Florida was crushed to death by his own welding truck when he tried to get the vehicle ready for towing.
Christopher Don Anstaett, 34, of Eustis, was found Tuesday morning in a parking lot, police said.
Police say the truck weighed more than 17,950 pounds and it was carrying at least 5,000 pounds of welding materials.
Anstaett owns a welding company in Eustis and on Monday night an employee of his was driving the truck back to his home and stopped for dinner. When the man tried to start the vehicle after his meal, it wouldn't move.
When Anstaett arrived, he got under the vehicle to disconnect the rear drive shaft to prepare the heavy truck for towing. Police say that's what caused the accident.
