PRICES CORNER, Del. – Delaware State Police say a Stanton-area man fled the scene of a crash on foot with his 10-year-old son.
The crash occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday on Kirkwood Highway near Evelyn Drive when a car ran up on the sidewalk and hit a utility pole.
Police say 44-year-old Anthony Picciotti got out of the car with a young boy and ran to a home on Evelyn Drive, where he left the boy with a family friend.
Troopers later found Picciotti walking in the neighborhood and arrested him.
Picciotti is charged with endangering the welfare of a child, leaving the scene of a crash involving property damage, driving under the influence, driving while suspended and several other offenses.
The boy was turned over to his mother.
