PHILADELPHIA – The U.S. Coast Guard, Philadelphia police and others are searching for a man and a child missing in the Delaware River.
The Coast Guard says it began with a family boating trip. A 9-year-old boy went off the boat Friday night and two men jumped in the water to try to rescue the child. One of those men has been recovered but the other man and the boy remained missing late Friday night.
The search is in progress near the Tacony-Palmyra Bridge.
