Repairs were planned Thursday, a day after a water main exploded on the campus of Harris-Stowe University in St. Louis, leaving much of the campus under several feet of water.

Officials aren't sure what caused the break that happened in an open field on campus. Water flooded some buildings, including the library. Damage estimates are not yet available.

Classes were called off Wednesday night, but the campus was open again on Thursday.

Cleanup crews worked overnight in the library.

City water crews were working Thursday to repair the main break.
