With foreign media blocked by the Iranian government from covering much of the chaos unfolding in the streets of Tehran, citizen reporters have used the Web to help disseminate information to the outside world.

Twitter and Facebook have become key lifelines for Iranian supporters of opposition leader Mir Hossein Mousavi. Amateur videos posted there and on YouTube and other Web sites appear to show riot police and militia members clashing with protesters.
