The U.S. Marshals Service has announced the arrest of a woman who was on the agency's most wanted fugitive list.

The Marshals Service said in a statement Saturday that 36-year-old Lisa Monica Gonzalez, also known as Monica Torres, had been arrested in the southern Los Angeles County city of Bellflower.

She was wanted for two counts of conspiracy to commit murder in Oklahoma in 2003 and for conspiracy with intention to distribute methamphetamines.

Gonzalez was arrested Friday after sheriff's deputies on patrol scanned her license plates and saw the warrant for her arrest. After a brief search of the area, they found her in a nearby hotel.

She was being held without bail.
