Connecticut police have charged a Bridgeport man with carnapping, for allegedly holding a car for ransom.
Police say 19-year-old Keenan Sneed is charged with extortion for allegedly demanding a Weston man pay $400 to get his car back Monday night.
Police say the Weston man had lent his car to two men, allegedly in exchange for crack cocaine. Police say the men threatened to "chop" his car unless he paid a ransom for it.
Sneed, one of the alleged carnappers, was arrested by police waiting for him at the ransom drop point.
Sneed has been released after posting bond.
