Ohio 3-Year-Old Left Alone With Man's Body for 5 Days

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Police have found a young boy who was left alone in an apartment with a man's body for as many as five days.

The boy, who is about 3 or 4 years old, and the body were discovered in an apartment in Columbus on Saturday. Police have not identified the man, who they say might have been dead three to five days.

Police said the death did not appear to be suspicious, and Children's Services was contacted about the child.

Police were called to the building after neighbors noticed a worsening smell coming from the apartment and a window covered in flies. A neighbor said two men had moved into the apartment about two weeks ago.
