It sounds like something out of A.A. Milne's "Winnie the Pooh," but this story isn't fiction.
A bear cub in northwestern Wisconsin's Burnett County was spotted near Grantsburg over Memorial Day weekend with a bird feeder stuck on its head.
The landowner called the state Department of Natural Resources, but the mother was so protective that DNR officers couldn't get near the cub, who also was still able to climb a tree.
When the DNR set out a live trap, it caught both the cub and the mom.
The feeder was found in pieces next to them, possibly chewed apart by the mom.
