A shocked 20-year-old woman told The Sun last night of her painful ordeal after a bat bit her breast.
Darryl Soutar, of Invergowrie, Scotland, was chatting with her friends when the bat swooped from a tree and landed on her right breast, she said.
It dug its fangs and drew blood before a screaming Soutar grabbed the animal and threw it down, she told the newspaper.
Friends rushed the pharmacy assistant from her home to the hospital where doctors gave her tetanus and rabies shots. She will need four more rabies vaccines to make sure she does not contract the deadly disease.
“I felt something on my chest and the next thing, there was throbbing pain,” said Soutar, who was left with a bruised and painful chest following the ordeal.
