MANASSAS, Va. – The Army is investigating allegations that illicit photos were taken by soldiers.
Officials say eight Virginia Army National Guard soldiers based in Manassas allegedly took pictures and video of 21 female soldiers while they were showering.
The incident occurred last fall, but leaders didn't learn about it until this month.
Army spokesman Lt. Col. Christopher Garver says it happened while the 266th Military Police Company was at Fort Dix, N.J., awaiting deployment.
The unit is currently in Iraq.
