CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – A Salem State College student has died after he was found shot at a Harvard University dormitory.
Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone identified the man Tuesday as 21-year-old Justin Cosby of Cambridge.
Cosby died early Tuesday. He found Monday at an entrance to Kirkland House, an undergraduate dormitory, after being shot in the abdomen.
His mother, Denise Cosby, told The Boston Globe she didn't know why her son was at Harvard.
In a statement, Harvard said the shooting appeared to be "isolated."
No arrests have been made. Cambridge police are looking for several people they believe were involved.
Students inside the dormitory were told to remain there for several hours as police interviewed potential witnesses. Harvard is in the midst of final exams.
