January 6: Philadelphia Phillies pitcher J.C. Romero receives a 50-day suspension for a product he bought at GNC in Cherry Hill, N.J.

January 6: New York Yankees pitcher Sergio Mitre was suspended 50 games for ingesting a banned substance

April 30: San Francisco catcher Eliezer Alfonzo receives a 50-day suspension for violating MLB's drug policy

May 28: Colorado catcher Humberto Cota is suspended for 50 games for ingesting a banned substance
