Information on Arkansas' share of federal stimulus dollars is coming to an iPhone near you.
State officials on Wednesday launched a free application for iPhone users that will allow them to track the state's $2.9 billion that it's expected to receive in federal stimulus funds. The application, which state officials say is the first state government application in the country allowing users to track stimulus dollars, is available through the iTunes store under the name "Arkansas.gov Recovery Project Search."
The application allows users to search projects by keyword or by city or county name. It also includes a "near me" feature that allows users to find projects located near them by using the iPhone's Global Positioning System.
