DAVENPORT, Fla. – The body of a pregnant St. Petersburg teen was found in a Polk County pine grove, but authorities have not released a cause of death.
The Polk County Sheriff's Office says the body of 17-year-old Bria Metz was found Monday in Davenport, where she apparently was dumped. Fingerprints were used to determine her identity.
Reports show she had been arrested on several charges, including resisting an officer and criminal mischief.
She was last seen Thursday at the home she shared with her great grandmother. Relatives told deputies the girl was about three months pregnant.
Results of an autopsy conducted were not released Tuesday pending a toxicology report.
