Two dozen students are injured after two buses taking children on a school trip crashed in Washington, D.C.

None of the children's injuries were serious. D.C. fire department spokesman Ken Crosswhite said the accident at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday involved two motor coaches carrying the students and a third vehicle. He didn't immediately have details of the crash.

Crosswhite says 24 children from an elementary school in Anne Arundel County, Md., and six adults were injured. The children were taken to a hospital along with one adult who broke an arm.

The county is about 20 miles from where the crash occurred.
