Hear from the Tea Party Organizers!

FOX Fan caught up with two tea party organizers to get their feedback about the April 15th events!

Juliana Johnson, National Communications Director of Nationwide Tax Day Tea Party, had this to say:

I am thrilled at the success and response that we received from the Nationwide Tax Day Tea Parties. We exceeded our expectations and it is clear that people are not going to take it anymore. The massive outpour of people; Democrats, Republicans, and Independents alike, was astonishing. This is just the beginning of our movement. We will be launching more projects in the upcoming weeks and we will begin to start organizing people into being activists in their own local issues. It is clear that we were heard today and we will continue to be heard.

Amy Kremer, Nationwide Event Coordinator and Co-Chair of the Atlanta Tea Party, said the following:

The Atlanta Tea Party was a huge success! We had an estimated 20,000+ in attendance and this well exceeded our expectations! The people were amazing and just pumped and thrilled to participate in this historic event. The age ranges were from infants to 90+. The event was a family event and many considered it a history lesson for the youth. The most amazing aspect was the patriotism that was shown by the people and their love of our great country. It is incredible to hold such a large event to protest our government's excessive spending, but yet the people were positive, polite, and kind. To my knowledge there were no incidents and the night was an overwhelming success.

Overall, nationwide, we were extremely successful with well over 800 tea parties across this country in every state. We had huge turnouts in very big cities as well as in smaller towns. Overall, the general message of the people is this is just the beginning and the people want to make sure the momentum keeps building and we move forward The biggest question in all my emails and phone messages is "What's next?" We will be moving forward and there will be many other events across the country leading up to the next big nationwide event on July 4th. The July 4th event will be huge and the theme is "Repeal the Pork, Celebrate America!" We are all looking forward to this big day!

As an organizer, this has been one of the most exciting things I have ever been involved in my entire life. The event was a huge success and that always makes one proud to be successful. However, the most exciting aspect for me personally, is the passion of the people. I love connecting with the fellow Patriots and building relationships with others that love their country as I do. I know that throughout this short 6-8 weeks, I have built relationships with people that will last a lifetime. The people are amazing and that is what inspires me to push forward and keep fighting for what I believe is the most important issue in my lifetime. I am part of a team of Patriots and I cannot, and will not, let my fellow Patriot team members down in any way!

I believe that we did accomplish what we set out to do yesterday and that was to have our voices heard! People came out to participate in the hundreds of thousands and I expect the crowds and numbers to grow as we host more events across this land. The main stream media seems to want to ignore us like our government wants to ignore us. The White House stated yesterday that the President was not aware of the tea parties taking place across America. This shows just how out of touch our government is with the people and reality. The same can be said for the main stream media. Regardless, we will do our own reporting via technology through our websites, blogs, twitter, social networks, etc. We will be heard!

Going forward, this grassroots movement will grow and gain momentum! We are building a grassroots army of people that will stand shoulder to shoulder to protect the United States of America and the Constitution upon which we were founded. We will not be sold a bill of goods, nor will we be sold to Socialism! We are America and we intend to stay America, the home of the free and the brave.
