Florida Fraud Suspect Wanted for Allegedly Promising Fake Jobs

An arrest warrant has been issued for a man accused of fabricating a Florida medical supply company and promising thousands of jobs to local residents.

The supposed company, KenRick Medical Incorporated, announced it would be offering 2,500 jobs when it opened its headquarters in Ocala, Fla., MyFOXOrlando.com reported.

However, police began investigating the company on April 7 because of its employee application process, which required applicants to pay for a background check.

Police say applicants were asked to pay $24 to a Pay Pal account in order to proceed with the hiring process, MyFOXOrlando.com reported. The funds, police say, were withdrawn by the suspect, identified as Ricky Burch, who now is on the run.

Police believe Burch may be in the Murray, Ky., area.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 352-843-STOP.
