Ever want to club a baby seal?

On Saturday, April 11, you can, at least virtually — and you'll have People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) to thank.

As part of its campaign against the annual fur-seal, um, hunt currently beginning in the Canadian Arctic, PETA is staging a battle in "World of Warcraft," the online role-playing gaming sensation.

Four evil baddies belonging to the Horde — from the looks of 'em, they seem to belong to the undead Forsaken race — will be entering the Howling Fjord area on the Whisperwind server to start the clubbing at 1 p.m. EST (sic), according to PETA's online materials.

All good guys from the Alliance are invited to stop them, but there's nothing preventing participants from "accidentally" clubbing a few of the little white darlings during the ensuing combat.

One catch: You've got to a be at least a Level 70 player to even enter the Howling Fjord. So kill a lot of boars until then to move up in the rankings.

Inquiries to Blizzard Entertainment, owner and host of "World of Warcraft," were not immediately returned.
