'Naughty Minx' Kellie Pickler and Simon Cowell Have Tongue Troubles | Bravo’s 'A List' Awards: Patti Stanger Wants to Set Up Jennifer Aniston, Tila Tequila Turning to Politics & Shanna Moakler Busted | Nicolas Cage Couldn’t Pay His Jet Bills? | Scene & Herd
Kellie Pickler’s flirty relationship with Simon Cowell during the fifth season of "American Idol" certainly raised a lot of eyebrows, especially when the controversial judge referred to the blonde belle as a "naughty minx." At the time tabloid reports even suggested that their bonding caused problems with Cowell’s then-girlfriend Terri Seymour — thus it's no wonder Pickler is feeling both nervous yet excited about making a guest appearance on the FOX show this Wednesday night.
"I haven’t seen Paula, Randy or Simon since I was last on Idol," Pickler told Tarts on Sunday. "But everyone keeps saying that it’s easier for me going back on and not being judged, but everybody judges me. It’s harder — there are higher expectations now."
But we are starting to wonder how the country crooner managed to make it to sixth place on the show in the first place, as apparently Cowell can’t understand her Southern speak and she can’t catch his British banter.
"Simon and I always have fun together, but what’s hilarious is the communication barrier," Pickler said. "He can’t understand what I say and I don’t understand what he says."
Oh, but she hasn’t forgotten the "naughty minx" reference …
"Trust me, I’ve been called much worse," she said.
Bravo held their annual "A List Awards" in Hollywood on Sunday evening and while the honor roll wasn’t exactly top-notch by Hollywood’s elite standards, it was an entertaining entourage of stars and starlets saying whatever they could to make a name for themselves.
So even though "Millionaire Matchmaker" Patti Stanger isn’t quite on the A-list yet herself, the business woman has ambitious plans to work with one.
"Jennifer Aniston could really use my services; she's going through a really rough time right now. I read her body language all the time and I hated John Mayer for her. I said he's going to break up with her after the Academy Awards, he's just using her," Stanger told Tarts. "She needs an intervention and I would be there for her and I would keep it on the down-low and nobody would know about it."
So who does the expert think is "the one" for Ms. Aniston?
"I wouldn't match her up with Hollywood; I would give her one of my clients who is a businessman on the Forbes list — one of the big people like at Time Warner, someone who's high up on the food chain. She needs chemistry and sometimes that older guy who's in his 50's, he's refined and maybe been divorced, is going to be the guy."
Right — and who knows, Jen might even make an appearance on the show to show her gratefulness.
We also caught up with Tila Tequila who said she’s working on a new "Marilyn Monroe/ Betty Boop/ Jessica Rabbit" inspired album and has plans to perform for the troops. But once that’s all done and dusted the "Shot at Love" lass is headed to the White House, or so she thinks.
"I don’t go out much to those Hollywood hotspots because first it gets boring and then you're painted out to be this trainwreck and it is not my scene. I'd rather be at the White House, I want to run for governor in seven years," she (seriously) declared. "I know a lot more than people give me credit for; it is just that talking about politics on "A Shot at Love" doesn't really work does it? First of all, I will legalize gay marriages. Iowa just legalized it; I think it’s just ridiculous that California hasn’t legalized it yet."
And fresh from her split with Travis Barker, Shanna Moakler was out and about and happily gushing about her obsession with "Dancing With the Stars" and how she would love to do it again.
"Cheryl (Burke) is my best friend so I am always rooting for her, but also Holly Madison is one of my good friends," Moakler told Tarts.
Funny that — she had no idea that her "good friend" had actually been eliminated. Wow, what a friendship.
Times are tough in our economic recession — and it seems Nicolas Cage is also feeling the fallout. Last week the actor sold his beloved Bavarian Castle for a cool $2.3 million and Pop Tarts have been told by a very close Cage source that his private Gulfstream jet has been grounded for the past year. The "Con Air" actor reportedly has unpaid bills (believed to be worth hundreds of thousands) at AvJet, the company that manages his jet.
Reps for AvJet and Cage denied that the private plane was ever grounded and said that it was in fact for sale.
