Young British Boys Aged 10 and 11 Charged With Attempted Murder

British police have charged two brothers, aged 10 and 11, with attempting to murder two other children who were found dazed and bloodied after a violent attack.

The victims say they were robbed and beaten by the other boys near Doncaster in northern England.

One victim, an 11-year-old boy, is in intensive care with serious head injuries. The other victim, aged 9, needed surgery for an arm injury.

The attack shocked many because of the young ages of the alleged perpetrators and the severity of the injuries.

Prosecutors said Tuesday that each suspect faced charges of attempted murder and robbery. They are among the youngest people ever charged with such serious crimes in Britain.
