The man charged in the death of an Arkansas television anchorwoman now faces separate rape and burglary charges in another case.

Lee County Circuit Court documents filed Monday accuse Curtis Lavelle Vance in an April 21 attack at a home in Marianna. The documents allege Vance was armed with a "deadly weapon" during the robbery.

Vance, 28, faces a capital murder charge in the death of KATV anchorwoman Anne Pressly. Police say they matched DNA from an unsolved rape in Marianna to evidence collected from Pressly's home after she was attacked Oct. 20.

Vance appeared Tuesday in Pulaski County Circuit Court. Judge Chris Piazza denied requests by defense lawyers to stop police and jailhouse informants from talking to Vance.
