An eastern Pennsylvania school bus driver has been suspended for leaving a 7-year-old boy asleep on the bus.

Officials with the Minersville School District confirm that the boy, Nathaniel Romberger, was found sleeping on the bus 25 minutes after he was supposed to be in class at Llewellyn Elementary School Monday morning.

The boy was found by a transportation worker after the driver had parked the bus in a garage.

Minersville Area School District Superintendent M. Joseph Brady calls it negligent. He says drivers are required to check the buses at the end of their runs.

A nurse examined the youngster and determined that he was all right.

Brady says the bus driver has been suspended without pay. The driver's name has not been released.
