Girls Next Door star Holly Madison has split from her illusionist boyfriend Criss Angel, according to E! News.

The couple of nearly four months split amicably due to “a conflict of schedules.”

“Criss and Holly are no longer a couple. They remain very close friends and wish each other the very best,” a rep for Angel said.

Madison, 29, had recently moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, where Angel, 41, performs his show Criss Angel Believe five nights a week at the Luxor. But the Playboy star, who split from Hugh Hefner in October before beginning a relationship with Angel, has moved back in with her family in L.A.

And while friends say Madison was “very much in love with him,” the two decided that the relationship couldn’t survive their hectic schedules.

“She felt she couldn’t devote 100 percent of her time in Vegas and his career at the expense of her career and her goals,” a source said.

Earlier this month, she quit her job as a junior photo editor at Playboy magazine, saying it was both “awkward” and that she “no longer found it challenging.”

But the decision has everyone wondering, will Holly move back in with Hugh Hefner, her former boyfriend of seven years, at the Playboy mansion? And with the season finale— which follows Madison and Hefner’s break up — airing March 1, is the timing a mere coincidence or a carefully planned public relations move?

Last fall, Hefner hinted that their split was due to Madison’s desire to have a family.

"I love her very much, but you know, she wants very much to get married and have children. That isn’t very much in the cards for me," Hefner said. "So there has to be a certain reality there. And I’m sure the time will come when she’ll be dating others. That’s part of the transition."

A rep for the show was not immediately available for comment.
