Police say a Long Island man doused his friend with tequila and set him on fire during a night of drinking.

Police say 24-year-old Epigmencio Garcia was at his home in Westbury drinking tequila with his friend early Sunday when he asked the victim to go home.

When the victim refused, police say Garcia hit his friend then poured tequila on him, lit a lighter and set him on fire.

Police say the victim suffered second-degree burns to his face, ears, neck and hands.

Garcia, an unemployed landscaper, was arrested and arraigned on charges of assault and possession of dangerous weapons — the tequila and the lighter.
