Jessica Simpson hit headlines last week when pics emerged showing the starlet looking a little larger than her normally petite self, but sources very close to the (very upset) Simpson family said the apparent "weight gain" has more to do with bad styling and an unfriendly lens.
According to a source very close to the pop princess, her weight hasn’t actually changed much at all over recent times despite reports to the contrary.
"She’s a normal girl and like everyone fluctuates a little but there is no way she gained that much weight," an insider assured Tarts. "It was a really unflattering outfit and a really bad angle. You look at photos taken of her just a couple of weeks earlier and nobody said anything about weight gain, now all of a sudden she’s considered fat. Not possible."
Despite all the negative press, we’re told Jessica is staying super-strong and won’t succumb to any crash diets. And while numerous reports have attributed Simpson’s supposed plump-up to problems with beau Tony Romo’s cheating ways, multiple sources close to the couple said that could not be further from the truth. Romo and Simpson are reportedly happier than ever together, the QB has not wandered in his ways and is he is actually more peeved about the fat taunts than even Jessica is - awww.
Meanwhile fellow starlet Kim Kardashian has taken time out on her personal blog to express disgust that Jessica’s weight has aroused so much attention.
"She is so drop dead gorgeous and the fact that the media is sending this message out to young girls is mind blowing," Kardashian wrote. "Her outfit was FABULOUS! I loved that Fendi leopard belt with those high waisted jeans!"
While the wardrobe selection was cute, it seems those close to Jessica would agree that maybe it just wasn't quite right for the country crooner.
The rumor mill has been bubbling for a little while now that Dakota Fanning has been lined up to star in the Twilight sequel and while nothing is set in stone, the young starlet is super excited at the very probable prospect.
"Those reports are definitely not untrue, it is definitely a possibility," the Coraline actress told Tarts. "It is too soon to say it would be a sure thing, but I think it would be a fun opportunity for me."
However starring along Rob Pattinson and company isn’t the only objective Fanning has planned for the future, the 14-year-old also wants to put her acting career on hold for higher education in a few years time.
"I definitely want to go to college, I’ve always thought it would be a great experience," she added. "I’m not sure what I’ll study but I’ve always wanted to go to UCLA."
NBC and NFL banned AshleyMadison.com from airing their controversial ad during Sunday’s Super Bowl, but the online match-making service (which caters for married people looking to cheat on their spouse) still managed to sneak it on to NBC in Houston.
The commercial features a husband ditching his wife during their anniversary dinner accompanied by the voice-over: "Have you ever found yourself on a really bad blind date? Now imagine that lasting the rest of your life."
"We actually submitted the Super Bowl commercial weeks ago to NBC and were in the process of finalizing deals in major markets across the US. The NFL got word about our ad and told NBC under no circumstances could they run this ad," Ashley Madison CEO Noel Biderman explained to Tarts. "This wasn’t a PR stunt where we knew we would get rejected. Divorce isn’t always an option for those who are unhappily married."
And as it turns out that the commercial not only hit the airwaves in Texas, but cheating on your spouse has become a huge hit in the Lone Star state. According to an agency insider, Texas has steadily remained Ashley Madison’s fastest growing market with over 200,000 members having signed up to the infidelity service in just the past two years even despite very minimal advertising efforts.
As a result, AshleyMadison.com plans on spending millions in the state this year. While this was the first time the Ashley Madison Agency has been allowed to advertise their naughty service on television before 9 p.m. the commercial will now go on to air on CNN, FOX News, ESPN, TLC, Bravo and other mainstream cable channels.
