Jewel thieves nabbed $654,000 worth of jewelry from Cecilia Attias, the ex-wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, AFP reported.
French police said the burglars broke into her first-floor apartment in the chic Paris suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine several days ago, but because she is currently in Dubai, investigators have not been able to interview her.
Attias divorced Sarkozy in 2007, shortly after he took office, and is now married to public relations executive Richard Attias. He filed the complaint with police.
Sarkozy married former supermodel Carla Bruni after his split from Attias.
