Scooby-Doo, the mystery-solving cartoon dog, could play a key part in a real life murder case.
The trial for 27-year-old Baron Earl Moore began on Tuesday. He is charged with the August 2003 murder of 28-year-old Keith Culbertson. Prosecutors say Moore shot the Homestead man in the face, stole his Toyota 4Runner, dumped his body in some brush and drove the sport utility vehicle for several days.
But Culbertson was an avid fan of Scooby-Doo, and his SUV was filled with many Scooby-themed items, including seat-belt sleeves, a steering wheel cover, decals and a CD case.
Prosecutors say police found the Scooby-Doo CD case inside Moore's house, connecting him to the murder.
