Now that the ball is rolling on the proposed alliance between Chrysler and Fiat, the question remains: “What’s in it for us?”

Fiat always made cars that were cheap and cool, but the company was pushed out of the U.S. market in the early 1980s due to a reputation for quality that made people joke that Fiat stood for “Fix It Again, Tony.”

Its cars are a lot better now — and as Italian in spirit as they ever were — so we’ve put together a list of 5 that we hope to see in a showroom near you soon either with the Fiat name on the hood, or re-badged as Chrysler products.
