State health officials are investigating an incident at a Pizza Hut in Greenwood after 19 members of a church group become ill.
Officials with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church of Itta Bena says the church members became ill Sunday. Twenty-five to 30 church members had stopped to eat at the restaurant.
The 19 people who became ill were treated at Greenwood Leflore Hospital and released.
Terrence Hurssey, a Health Department environmentalist, says the regional owner of Pizza Hut shut the restaurant down Sunday night. Hurssey says samples of the leftover food were taken Sunday night for analysis.
The restaurant reopened for business on Monday.
Pizza Hut officials say they are working with health officials to find the cause of the illness.
