Dane Cook's manager, his half-brother, reportedly was arrested for embezzling millions from the comedian, according to The Boston Globe.

The Massachusetts Attorney General's office had 43-year-old Darryl McCauley of Wilmington, Mass., arrested on Tuesday for allegedly transferring funds from his client's business accounts to his personal accounts.

The attorney general's office declined to say who McCauley's client was, but the client was described as a "national entertainer" with local ties.

Cook is a Boston-area native, and an unnamed friend of Cook's told The Globe that McCauley was Cook's manager, and state records showed McCauley is an official of Great Dane Enterprises, Cook's company, according to The Globe.

The Attorney General's office accuses McCauley of stealing the money from July 2007 to December 2008. He was charged with two counts of larceny over $250, forgery and larceny by continuous scheme.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
