Truck Overturns Creating River of Liquor on Florida Street

A truck driver has committed the ultimate party foul.

Authorities say a truck delivering wine and alcohol to Brevard County businesses overturned when the driver lost control of the vehicle Monday morning, leaving hundreds of bottles and boxes smashed on the street.

The driver, Daniel Durant of Republic National Distributing Co., says he was carrying about 300 bottles from Jacksonville. He says his load shifted during a turn, causing him to lose control. He tried to overcorrect, and the truck went over the median before landing on its side.

No one was injured, and no other vehicles were involved.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the driver won't be cited because there were no witnesses.
