A woman who set herself on fire over the weekend outside a Nashville church for the second time has died.
Police said Monday that the woman, 34, doused herself with gasoline early Sunday afternoon outside Grace Evangelical Church in west Nashville. Two people, believed to be attending the church, found her in the parking lot on fire and tried to put out the blaze with water.
Police spokeswoman Kristin Mumford said the unidentified woman did the same thing at the same place Nov. 16. The motive remains unknown.
The woman died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
After the first incident, police said she would undergo a mental evaluation.
