Dallas police say an attempted bank robbery today ended with the gunman dead and a security guard wounded.
Chief David Kunkle says the suspect was found dead in the Chase Bank branch when tactical officers entered.
Kunkle says it appear the suspect opened fire on a guard, who returned fire. The police chief says the guard suffered a superficial wound.
The bank in South Dallas is near the Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
