The Coast Guard says it rescued 26 people from a yacht that ran aground on rocks and took on water in San Francisco Bay.
No injuries were reported.
Authorities in San Mateo, Calif., say they received a distress call early Sunday from the 52-foot cabin cruiser Giant Feet.
The Coast Guard and fire crews launched a number of rescue boats, but those vessels could not reach the yacht because water in the area is too shallow.
Eventually a helicopter was used to deliver a life raft and a rescue swimmer.
Officials said all 26 people on the yacht were taken to a San Mateo County Fire Department post at the Coyote Point Marina.
