A uniformed Air Force recruiter has been stabbed in New York City.

A New York City Police spokeswoman says the 27-year-old recruiter was stabbed at about 12:30 p.m. Thursday at 125th Street and Lenox Avenue in Harlem.

Police say a woman walked up to the recruiter and stabbed her three times without saying a word.

Cops in the area apprehended the 28-year-old suspect, who is being questioned.

The recruiter, whose name was not released, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in critical condition. Her condition has been upgraded to stable after surgery.
