FOX News' Sean Hannity will headline his own show beginning Jan. 12, the network announced today.
The conservative commentator, who will lose liberal counterpart Alan Colmes at the end of the year after 12 seasons, will host "Hannity," at 9 p.m. EST and will feature a segment called the "Great American Panel," which will showcase three guests to offer a mix of commentary from across the political spectrum.
The show will also include segments such as "Hate Hannity Hotline," a compilation of voicemails and videos from dissenting listeners.
"While I'll miss Alan greatly, I'm thrilled to be embarking on a new program during one of the most historic eras of our time and look forward to an engaging debate on the issues throughout the hour," Hannity said in a statement.
The move marks the first time in FOX News' 12-year history that the network will alter its programming during the 9 p.m. time slot.
"Sean is one of the top television and radio personalities in the business and we're excited to be working with him on this venture," Bill Shine, FOX News' senior vice president of programming, said in a statement. "When Alan Colmes left us with a void last month, we decided to build a new program utilizing Sean's signature talents rather than take on the monumental task of replacing someone as exceptional as Alan and attempting to rebuild a rare chemisty that is unlikely ever to be matched in cable television again."
