Judge Rejects New Trial in Microwaved Baby Case

A judge has denied a new trial for an Ohio woman convicted of killing her baby by burning the girl in a microwave oven.

Montgomery County Common Pleas Court Judge Mary Wiseman on Monday rejected China Arnold's bid for a third trial.

Arnold, of Dayton, Ohio, denies killing 28-day-old Paris Talley in August 2005.

Wiseman says Arnold's newly discovered evidence is not credible and would be unlikely to alter the outcome of Arnold's second trial.

Arnold was convicted of aggravated murder in September and sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. Arnold's first trial ended in a mistrial when new witnesses surfaced.
