Lizzie McGuire is heading back to the small screen. Kind of.
Former tween star Hilary Duff has signed a one-year deal with NBC, Variety.com reports.
Duff, who rose to fame on the Disney Channel's "Lizzie McGuire," made a pilot for CBS in 2004 that wasn't picked up, and has since starred in this year's feature "War, Inc."
Duff, whose 2004 album "Metamorphosis" sold more than 2 million copies and spawned several hit singles, also just released her "Best Of" album earlier this week. In signing Duff, NBC's Teri Weinberg cited the actress' "huge following" and versatility.
