Joaquin Phoenix stunned the entertainment world earier this week when he dropped the bomb that he was quitting the movie business to focus on his ... music? (Did anyone know Phoenix played music?)

Phoenix announced Wednesday that his new film 'Two Lovers' would be his last, saying "Everything's done. I've been through that. I've done it."

Now TMZ.com is reporting that not only is Phoenix giving up on the movies, he's giving up on Hollywood, period.

The "Gladiator" star is selling his 3,200 square foot, four bedroom Hollywood Hills home for just under $4 million. The stunning spread features an inground swimming pool, brick patio, hot tub, central air conditioning, and five bathrooms.

But don't take our word for it - check out the great pics on the realtor's site.

Where Phoenix is moving to is anyone's guess - maybe a more music-friendly community like Austin or Portland, away from the distractions of Los Angeles. Or maybe's he'll pull a Willie Nelson, outfit a serious tour bus, and start a life on the road.

Bon voyage, Joaquin.
