Strip Club Fire Ruled Arson, Manager Arrested for Holding Employees Hostage

Chemicals found inside a local strip club that caught fire twice in one day have caused investigators to rule the blaze arson.

Huntsville Fire & Rescue spokesman Tim Cartwright said no arrests have been made in connection to Monday's fire at Fantasies Gentleman's Club.

The fire restarted almost 12 hours after it was set at 3 p.m. and club manager Angelo Contino was arrested early Monday for allegedly holding three employees hostage.

Two men and a woman were locked inside the club until 32-year-old Contino passed out, apparently from drinking too much.

Contino was charged with kidnapping and assault for allegedly attacking another employee, a 28-year-old woman. He was still in jail on $31,000 bond at the time of the fire.
