GEORGETOWN, Ky. – Police have arrested the brother of a handicapped central Kentucky woman whose mummified remains were found in the trunk of his car.
U.S. Marshals arrested 36-year-old Timothy Allen Brown in St. Louis on Tuesday night, Georgetown, Ky. Police Chief Greg Reeves said.
The severely decomposed body of 31-year-old Penny Brown was discovered Friday after police towed the car from St. Louis to Kentucky. They had received complaints that it had been on the street for several days.
Police have said that Timothy Brown signed his wheelchair-bound sister out of a nursing home in 2006, and the remains may have been in his apartment for two years. It isn't clear how she died.
